Target Audience

Previously our target audience was 16-19. We have decided to change this 14-19 although in our production we cannot film anyone under the age of 16 as we will need their parents consent. This is because we are aware that younger teenagers deal with the same situations that we will be dealing with in this episode. We know that if they understood how to cope with them from a younger age, it can will help them overcome some of the situations in the future.

Our documentary will be show on BBC3 the watershed at 9pm and the advert will be featured on the Metro. We chose the Metro because when I asked young people what newspaper they mostly read, this was the most popular and also it is free.

Audience feedback:
Aziza aged 16, mentions that in this society many young people do everything now sexually at an even younger age. This is why we see the importance of reaching a younger audience.

Audience Profile

Name: James
Age: 18
Occupation: Student
Hobbies and Interests: Plays football, clubbing and spending time with his girlfriend.
Social networking sites: He constantly updates his Facebook wall with photos of his days out. He also keeps in touch with friends and browses through videos and friend's pages.

We specifically chose James because he is a young male in our target age range. He is very outgoing and is currently in a relationship. This show is there to educate audience like James how to keep a healthy sexual relationship, if they are active.
